Seven years ago, I decided to pursue photography as a career. I became co-editor of my school's yearbook which solidified my passion for using photography as a story telling tool. I hope to carry this same passion with me for the rest of my life.
Photojournalism
As a photographer for the Daily Titan for 3 years, I have been exposed to many unique opportunities including photographing 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidates during a California Democratic Party Convention in 2019. I also have covered multiple large scale protests and countless NCAA games, profiles, investigations, local news, and lifestyle events.
Photo Editing
As a photographer and photo editor at a portrait studio as well as a daily newspaper, I have developed my skills for visual editing and fostered my knowledge of Adobe Creative Programs. In addition, my BFA in Creative Photography and Experimental Media as well as my minor in broadcast journalism gave me extended experience in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Studio Photography
I have developed knowledge and understanding of lighting studios and lighting design, including all involved equipment. Through my numerous courses in conceptual photography and art, I have fostered my ability to communicate complex ideas through visual means.
